Today's the day! Somehow we have managed to fit everything we will need for the next two months into the backpacks! If there's anything we missed, we'll have to survive without, or buy it when we get there. We are a little anxious to be setting off on this adventure, but very excited too! We have been talking about taking this trip and planning for so long. It's hard to believe that now our fantasy trip is going to be a reality! This trip would not be possible if it were not for the generosity of all of our friends and family who helped keep the first part of our trip way under budget and we thank you all. And, of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible sabbatical program of the Lynn, Jackson, Shultz and Lebrun law firm, that for 30 years has been allowing its attorneys the opportunity to step away from the pressures of law practice, and do whatever they want for up to six months!
After finishing packing and taking care of last minute details, Dick's sister Kathy took us to the airport, where we caught a 5:00 p.m. flight to Philadelphia, and from there, on to Dublin. Ireland--here we come!
